FAP’s highly effective Mental Health/Substance Abuse treatment approach is
client centered. After thorough assessments an individualized treatment plan
is mutually created between the client and the therapist. In addition to
assessing for the severity of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse issues,
each client’s readiness to commit to treatment is also assessed which is an
important factor in designing the treatment plan.
FAP follows a co-occurring disorder treatment strategy that treats Mental
Health and Substance Abuse issues simultaneously. This innovative model has
proven to be much more effective in improving levels of depression/anxiety,
preventing relapses, improving clients’ adherence to medical treatments,
creating more stable living arrangements, improving vocational stability, and
following safer sex practices.
FAP’s highly competent and caring staff are licensed Mental Health/Substance
Abuse professionals who provide these services including individual, couples,
families, and group counseling for clients with Mental Health and Substance
Abuse issues.
